Getting your quote

There are several ways to get a price from us. You can call the office, fill in the quote form, schedule a video tour, or upload photos or a video of what you are moving. Whichever you pick, we build the quote from what you tell us, so the more you share about the rooms, the stairs and the parking, the closer it lands.

Local moves are charged by the hour, and the price is based on what you are moving and how far it travels. You can also build your own move plan with us, picking the service options that fit your needs, your budget and your schedule.

What the crew does at your place

The crew arrives, looks over the job with you and gets to work. Floors, corners and hallways are protected first, so the building stays in the shape you found it. Furniture is wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap, glass items go into separate boxes, and essential furniture pieces are taken apart so they fit through your door.

Everything rides on our black moving trucks, which are discreet on purpose. We aim to complete your relocation with as little noise as possible. At the new place the crew carries it in, puts the essential furniture back together and sets things where you want them.

Tell us these things before moving day

• The floor you are on at each end, and whether there is an elevator or only stairs
• Whether either building asks for a certificate of insurance from the mover
• Where the truck can stop, and how far the carry is from the truck to the door
• Whether you are packed, or want us to pack some or all of it
• Anything unusually large, heavy or delicate

Photos help more than you might think. If you can send a few shots of the biggest pieces and the hallway they have to pass through, the crew knows what to bring before they arrive.

Pieces that need more care

Our white glove moving service handles designer furniture, fragile items, fine art and antiques, expensive instruments, custom-made items and expensive collections. We also take on specialty moves, such as antique moving. Tell us about any piece like that when you ask for the quote, so the right people and the right protection are on the job.

How long will it take?

It depends on the time of year, the weather, the size of the shipment, the time it takes to load and unload, and how far the load has to travel. A small apartment a few blocks away is a different day from a house in Westchester. Call us with the details and we will talk it through.

Where we work and how you pay

Our New York moving service covers Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Westchester and New Jersey. We take cash, bank checks, company checks, and Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Personal checks are not accepted.

Coverage is worth a conversation too. Basic coverage comes free with every move and pays up to 60 cents a pound, and Full Value Protection is available if you want more. Ask your moving specialist which one suits what you are moving.
