Each group above is a piece of how a Gotham move works. Here is what it means in practice.

Stairs and walk-ups

We know the twists and turns of climbing a five-floor walk-up in Manhattan just as well as the streets of Queens. Stairs take time on an hourly move, so tell us the floor at each end when you ask for a quote.

Blankets and shrink wrap

Furniture is wrapped with shrink wrap and blankets, and floors, corners and hallways are protected, so the building stays as clean as the furniture.

Packing, item by item

Lamps go in special boxes, mattresses in special bags and flat-screen TVs in plasma boxes. Our movers review your items before the move and plan how each one gets packed.

Fine art

Paintings, sculptures and antiques are packed with specialist services for high-value items, and glass or marble pieces up to 4 feet are packed in cardboard.

The truck

We run and own our own fleet. Our 24-foot and 28-foot trucks are winter-ready, with a lift gate, a camera and safety equipment, and they are inspected and professionally cleaned daily.

Storage

When your dates do not line up, we double wrap your things, add shrink wrap to keep out dust, and keep them in our climate-controlled, secure storage facilities.

Old photos, collections, antiques and keepsakes carry sentimental value, so we take them into account when we plan a move, especially a senior relocation or a downsize.

Designer and custom pieces

Designer furniture, fragile items, expensive instruments, custom made items and expensive collections get extra care, and antique moving is part of our specialty services.

Storage stays

For a longer stay in storage we double wrap your items, shrink wrap them against dust, and keep them in climate-controlled, secure storage.
