Privacy Policy
This page says what we collect through this website, what we do with it, who else sees it and how to have it removed. It is written in plain English because it is meant to be read.

Who we are

What the forms collect
There are three forms on this site: the contact form, the quote form, and a short quote form on many pages. Between them they can ask for:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- where you are moving from and to, and your move date;
- the size of the home or office;
- whether there are stairs or an elevator at each end, and whether anything fragile or fine art is moving;
- how you would like us to contact you, including a video walkthrough;
- a message, in your own words;
- on the quote form, photos or videos of what you are moving, if you choose to add them (up to 25 MB in total).
Each submission also carries the page you sent it from and, if you arrived from an ad or a campaign link, the campaign tags and Google Ads click id in that link. That is how we tell which ad produced which inquiry. It does not identify you beyond what you typed.
You choose what to put in the message and what to upload. Please do not include anything you would not want written down.
What we do with it
We use it to quote your move and to get back to you. We do not sell it or rent it.
Who it goes to
- Each submission, with any photos or videos attached, is sent by email to the people who handle inquiries for Gotham Moving Systems. That includes the agency that runs this website for us.
- The details you type (not the uploads) may also be passed into the booking system we use for moves.
- The services that carry the message on our behalf: Cloudflare, which hosts the site and receives the form, and the email delivery service that sends it.
- Anyone we are legally required to give it to, such as a regulator or a court.
Other companies whose code runs on this site
- Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps short server logs, including the IP address a request came from, which keeps the site running and blocks abuse.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site uses. Loading a font sends your IP address to Google.
- jsDelivr serves the animation library the pages use, and receives your IP address when it loads.
- Google Maps supplies the map on the home page. The map loads when you scroll to it, and Google's terms apply to it.
- Google Analytics, when it is switched on, counts page views and which pages people arrive on and leave from.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, where it appears on a form, checks that the form is being sent by a person and not a script.
Cookies and similar storage
The site itself does not need a cookie to work. If you arrive from a campaign link, the campaign tags are held in your browser for that visit so they can go with your inquiry. The analytics and anti-spam tools named above set their own cookies under their own terms. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings without breaking anything on this site except those tools.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that turn into a move are kept with the job paperwork, because a mover has to be able to produce that record. Inquiries that do not turn into a move are kept while the quote is still live and then are of no further use to us. If you want yours removed sooner, ask and we will remove it.
Children
This site is for people arranging a move. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
How to see it, correct it or have it deleted
Call 212-732-1234 or write to us at 295 Greene Ave Ste 2, Brooklyn, NY 11238 and say what you want done. Tell us the phone number or the email address you used so we can find the right record. We will confirm when it is done. There is no charge and you do not need a reason.
One limit worth stating plainly: where a record is part of the paperwork for a move we actually carried out, we may have to keep it to meet our obligations as a licensed carrier. We will tell you if that applies and delete everything else.
Changes to this page
If we change what we collect or who it goes to, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
